Privacy policy

This policy explains how Scottish Salvage Group handles the information you give us. We keep it simple: we only collect what we need to quote for and collect your vehicle, and we never sell your data.

What we collect

• Your vehicle registration and collection postcode, to value the car and plan collection.
• Contact details you choose to share (name, phone) when you message us or book.
• Basic technical data (IP address, browser) for security and to keep the site working.

How we use it

Solely to provide your quote, arrange collection, complete the DVLA paperwork and keep a record of the transaction as required by law. When you submit the quote form, your details are sent to us (and, at your choice, opened in WhatsApp so you can message us directly). We do not send marketing you didn't ask for.

Who we share it with

Only where necessary to complete the job or meet a legal duty — for example notifying the DVLA, or our regulator SEPA. We do not sell or rent your information to third parties.

How long we keep it

We retain vehicle and transaction records for as long as required by environmental and tax law, then delete them.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask to see, correct or delete the data we hold about you. Contact hello@scottishsalvagegroup.co.uk and we'll respond within one month.
