Terms of service

These terms cover the use of this website and the scrap and salvage service provided by Scottish Salvage Group.

Quotes

Quotes are based on the information you provide and the live scrap-metal market, and are valid for a short window. The final price is confirmed when we see the vehicle on collection. If the car materially differs from how it was described, we will re-quote openly before taking it.

Collection & payment

Collection is free across the areas we serve. Payment is made by bank transfer on collection — we do not pay cash, in line with the Air Weapons and Licensing (Scotland) Act 2015, which bans cash payment for scrap metal in Scotland. You confirm you are the legal owner of the vehicle and entitled to sell it, and that it is not subject to outstanding finance.

Paperwork

As a SEPA-licensed authorised treatment facility, we notify the DVLA and issue a Certificate of Destruction. You remain responsible for cancelling any insurance and reclaiming road tax once the car is scrapped.

Liability

We are not liable for personal items left in the vehicle. Please remove all belongings before collection.
